Traveling Workshops
In addition to hosting workshops at Nate Winter Studios, Nate regularly takes Raku on the road. Traveling workshops bring the same energy, education, and hands-on experience to studios, schools, and events across the region. Each stop centers around live Raku firing, demonstrations of multiple techniques, and the opportunity for students and communities to experience this exciting process firsthand.
The video above offers a glimpse into what a typical traveling workshop looks and feels like, glowing kilns, fast-paced firings, shared problem solving, and the unique magic that happens when a group of makers comes together around fire and clay. These events are designed to be welcoming to all experience levels, from complete beginners to seasoned potters, creating a fun, collaborative environment where everyone learns together.
Traveling workshops allow me to connect with new ceramic communities and share the Raku process in a wide variety of settings, from small studio gatherings to larger public events. Below you’ll find upcoming 2026 dates and locations where Nate will be bringing the experience beyond his home studio.
